Reporter and documentary filmmaker assassinated

Independent journalist Brad Will was shot and killed on Friday in Oaxaca, along with striking school teacher Emilio Alfonso Fabian and Oaxaca resident Esteban Zurrita, while covering the grassroots popular movement there. The Mexican government is reacting not by cracking down on the violent paramilitaries who have been launching regular attacks on the people of Oaxaca, but by sending federal police to put down the popular uprising.

Just in case anyone may care

This summer has been a bit chaotic around here.
I was not only quite busy but also dizzy.
Will be back blogging soon - hopefully!
